1 · New reading
Screen ID? Mesh count? Reading (N/cm)? Date? Note?
2 · Reminder rules
Minimum N/cm? Re-check every (days)?
Set the minimum from your frame and mesh maker's recommendation; the defaults are only placeholders. Retensionable and static frames run at very different tensions.

Tip: measure in the same spots each time (e.g. center and near the frame corners, both directions) so readings are comparable. Mesh loses tension most quickly when new.

What each box means

New to screen printing? Here is what every box above asks for, where to find the number, and a typical example. Tap any next to a box to jump to its explanation.

Screen ID
A name or number you give each screen so you can tell them apart. Write it on the frame with a marker, for example S-014.
Mesh count
How many threads per inch the screen fabric has. It is often printed on the frame or the mesh label, for example 156.
Reading (N/cm)
How tight the mesh is. You read it from a tension meter, a small tool you set on the mesh. N/cm (newtons per centimeter) is the unit it shows, for example 22.
Date
The day you took the reading. It fills in today; change it if you are entering an older reading.
Note
Anything you want to remember, like "re-tensioned" or "small tear". You can leave it empty.
Minimum N/cm
The lowest tension you accept before a screen needs fixing or replacing. Get it from your frame or mesh maker. The 20 here is only a placeholder.
Re-check every (days)
How often you want a reminder to measure each screen again, in days, for example 14.
