Color names are rough, generic labels to help you describe each ink. Get exact colors from your ink maker’s mixing system or a printed color guide.

This is an estimate to help with quoting and planning. Anti-aliased edges and tiny specks are left out. Always check the final separations yourself.

What each box means

New to screen printing? Here is what every box above asks for, where to find the number, and a typical example. Tap any next to a box to jump to its explanation.

Design file
Drop or pick the picture of your design. Use a PNG or JPG file; flat art with solid colors counts best.
Shirt color
Click the box and pick a color close to the shirt you will print on, for example black. A dark shirt usually means you also need a white underbase (a white layer printed first).
Background
Leave this ticked so the plain area around your art (like a white page) is not counted as an ink.
Shirt color in art
Leave this ticked so parts of the art that match the shirt color are not counted. On a black shirt, black parts of the design can just be bare shirt.
Merge similar
How close two colors have to be before they count as one ink. Slide right to merge more and get fewer colors. 14 is the default.
Ignore under
Colors that cover less of the design than this percent are left out, like specks and blurry edges. 0.6% is the default.
