Where your data is kept
On your device. Your customers, jobs and quotes are saved in your browser (IndexedDB, or local storage if that is not available). This copy never leaves your device unless you move it yourself.
In your own Google Drive, if you connect it. If you tap "Connect Google Drive", Google asks you to allow access. The app then keeps one hidden file in the app data area of your own Google Drive. It uses only the drive.appdata permission, which means the app can see that one hidden file and nothing else. It cannot see, open or change your other Drive files. The file goes straight between your browser and Google. It never passes through us.
Backup files. "Backup to file" saves a file to your device. Where you keep it is up to you.
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-up with us.
- No ads.
- No analytics, tracking scripts or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell, rent or share data, because we never have it.
Other services the app touches
- Hosting. The app is a set of static files hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may keep basic server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and running the service. Your shop data is not sent to it.
- Fonts. The page loads the Nunito font from Google Fonts, so Google sees a normal request for the font file.
- Google sign-in and Drive. Only if you connect Google Drive. Google's privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- "Email it" and "Add to Google Calendar". These are plain links that open Gmail, Google Calendar or your own email app with the details filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send or save there, and the app does not get any extra permission to your email or calendar. "Download .ics" makes a calendar file on your device.
How to delete your data
- In the app: Settings, then "Reset to examples" or "Remove example data".
- Clear your browser's site data for this app to remove the copy on your device.
- To remove the Drive copy and the app's access, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Shop Manager. You can also tap "Disconnect" in Settings.
- Delete any backup files you saved.
Children
Shop Manager is a business tool and is not aimed at children.
